A Celebration of Fermentation: The Premiere Market Event



Tokyo is hosting its first-ever market event dedicated to fermentation, titled "Everything is Made of Fermentation," taking place on November 29 and 30 at the Farmers Market located at Aoyama. This exciting event will feature a wide array of food and goods that center around fermentation, including bread, cheese, miso, sweet sake, beer, and various condiments. In addition to the diverse array of food vendors, there will also be workshops focusing on fermentation themes that promise to engage and educate participants.

Highlights of the Event


1. Diverse Vendors and Workshops


A range of vendors specializing in fermented products will gather to showcase their offerings that utilize fermentation in their production process, offering everything from miso to cheese. Additionally, there will be exciting workshops, including sweet sake tastings and chocolate-making sessions.

2. Exclusive Collaboration Lunch Boxes


Chef Kazuya Iguchi from the modern French restaurant TOUMIN in Nishiazabu will collaborate with the Farmers Market to create a special fermentation-themed lunch box featuring seasonal ingredients and products from the participating vendors. This exclusive lunch box will be available for a limited time only and sold from a food cart on-site, with the menu set to be announced soon.

Chef Kazuya Iguchi
Profile: After graduating from a culinary school in Osaka, Chef Iguchi ventured into the world of French cuisine, honing his skills at renowned establishments before becoming the chef at REVIVE KITCHEN AOYAMA. In October 2023, he opened TOUMIN in Nishiazabu, where he currently showcases his culinary talent.

3. Fun For All Ages with a Stamp Rally


Participants can engage in a stamp rally, visiting designated vendors to collect stamps that could win them a prize pack featuring various fermentation products. This activity is perfect for families, allowing both adults and children to explore and discover a variety of fermented delights together.

Content Partners


Hikari Miso will be showcasing their unique sweet sake, "Hare no Chikou," known for its distinct sourness not found in traditional sweet sake. The event will feature custom recipes that utilize this unique ingredient, and participants can experience various ways to enjoy it during the workshops.

Simultaneous Event: Natural Wine Love


Alongside the fermentation market, the Natural Wine Love Vol.5 will take place on the same days, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
