Successfully Hosting the Climate Challenge Event in Paris
The Climate Challenge (Hainan Baoting) Europe Outreach Event took place on June 26, 2025, in Paris, commemorating two significant milestones: the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the European Union (EU) and the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement. Organized in partnership with the Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County of Hainan Province and the Ningyuan Institute of Climate and Sustainable Development, this event brought together experts from both China and Europe to foster collaboration in achieving a sustainable future.
A Platform for Collaboration
Over 100 representatives from more than 80 institutions attended the event, where they engaged in discussions aimed at facilitating green and low-carbon projects. This platform saw the signing of six major cooperation agreements targeting sustainable innovation between China and Europe. The event served as a launchpad by introducing shortlisted projects from the Climate Challenge, showcasing innovative solutions in climate change management and sustainable development.
China and Europe are collaborating to explore pathways toward a greener, low-carbon future.
