Scott's impressive background includes extensive experience at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), where he managed complex international projects across various regions, including Latin America, Africa, and Asia. His focus has been on enhancing economic opportunities, fortifying community resilience, and creating systems to aid vulnerable populations.

During his tenure at USAID, Scott led sizable technical teams, oversaw multimillion-dollar portfolios, and constructed influential public-private partnerships that championed sustainable solutions led by local communities. His rich experience in collaborating with governments, nonprofit organizations, and community groups uniquely positions him to drive equity and improve the quality of life for marginalized communities.

In his capacity as Executive Director, Scott aims to propel Sunwest Bank Charitable Foundation's strategic vision, deepen its partnerships both domestically and globally, and expand the impact of flagship initiatives such as Hovde Homes internationally. He expressed his enthusiasm for fostering the Foundation's mission, especially in advocating for children and families in need.

His prior position at USAID as the Director of the Sustainable Ecosystems and Economic Development office in Bogota, Colombia, allowed him to lead one of the largest technical offices for USAID in the region.

Scott holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable International Development from Brandeis University and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Vermont. He has also undergone professional development at esteemed institutions like the Federal Executive Institute and Springfield Centre.
