BCL App Two-Year Celebration Tournament

The BCL, operated by Blockchain Lures Co., will host a groundbreaking fishing tournament commemorating the second anniversary of their angler-focused Web3 app, the BCL App. Set for October 26, 2025, at Nissoen in Lake Sagami, this tournament will be the first in the world where anglers can compete for cash prizes in the cryptocurrency SOL.

This event will not only foster fair competition among anglers but also expand the understanding of blockchain technology through real-life experiences. Participants will prove their catches on-chain and share their achievements globally via the app.

Increased Prize Pool

This year, the total prize money has increased significantly compared to last year. Anglers will vie for a total of 250,000 yen worth of SOL, hosted under the sponsorship of BITPOINT and in collaboration with media partner Solana Superteam Japan for organizing and promoting the event.

Participants range from professionals to amateurs, highlighting the accessible nature of this tournament. The goal is to transform the world of bass fishing into a borderless experience, converting fishing success into valuable assets through innovative blockchain technology.

Participation Requirements

• - Registration on the BCL App is mandatory. Tap here to register (Ensure you open it in a browser like Safari or Chrome).

Prize Breakdown

• - 1st Place: 150,000 yen in SOL
• - 2nd Place: 30,000 yen in SOL
• - 3rd Place: 20,000 yen in SOL
• - Additionally, a raffle will give five more participants a chance to win 10,000 yen each! (Methods for prize collection will be communicated later.)

Schedule

• - 6:30 AM: Registration opens (participants will check in and pay the entry fee at the Nissoen pier)
• - 7:00 AM: Ensure boats are ready for departure; having reserved their boats in advance, participants can finalize payments on-site. Note: A measurement tray will be provided per boat.
• - 6:45 AM: Explanation of tournament rules
• - 7:00 AM: Boats depart for fishing
• - 2:00 PM: Return to harbor and return measuring trays
• - 2:30 PM: Award ceremony (subject to change based on weather conditions)

Tournament Rules

• - BCL Digital Weigh-in Method: The competition is based on the length of the fish caught. Participants must take a photo of their fish on the measuring tray from above, ensuring the fish’s mouth is closed to confirm the measurement from the tail.
• - Participants should minimize the time the fish are out of water and keep the measurement tray damp. Catch reports should be submitted through the catch report feature in the BCL app.
• - Multiple catches must be reported separately, with the winner determined by the longest single fish submitted.

Regulations

• - Use of Alabama rigs and dragging technique is allowed.
• - Only one rod can be utilized at a time onboard.
• - Life jackets must be worn at all times on the boat.
