This new product is a battery-powered air compressor designed to operate without the need for engine idling or conventional fuel-powered generators, offering a significant advancement in the construction industry.

The EPEQ EPRO20 represents a paradigm shift in portable compressed air technology, delivering 20 cubic feet per minute (CFM) of compressed air at pressures up to 150 PSI, all while producing zero emissions and significantly less noise compared to traditional models. Vanair's national manager, Chip Jones, emphasizes that construction teams are often caught in a dilemma, having to choose between running expensive engines idling for hours or handling cumbersome, noisy diesel compressors.

Jones states, "The EPRO20 completely eliminates this dilemma, providing a work environment that is cleaner, quieter, and more efficient." The system is modular and easily dropped into any pickup truck, UTV, van, or trailer, facilitating immediate deployment without the need for extensive installation or wiring.

Advanced Battery Technology at Its Core



At the heart of this revolutionary system is Vanair’s proprietary ELiMENT LiFePO4 battery. This high-performance battery offers 100 ampere-hours of power at 48 volts, and it's designed for longevity, with a cycle life of over 5,000 uses. The EPRO20 features dual-speed operation modes, allowing users to toggle between 10 CFM for extended usage and 20 CFM for high-demand tasks, ensuring adaptability in various scenarios.

Additionally, the EPRO20 includes a 30-gallon air storage tank, which guarantees consistent air pressure delivery. The unit also boasts Vanair's Smart Display, a user-friendly seven-inch interface that offers real-time monitoring of battery health, air pressure, and system readiness. Crucial battery management features, such as over-current protection and temperature monitoring, ensure dependable operation, even in harsh job site conditions.

The EPRO20 also tackles pressing challenges faced by the construction industry, such as the need for emissions reduction, noise compliance, and cost-efficiency. By significantly cutting down on engine idling, it conserves fuel—saving anywhere from 0.5 to 1.0 gallon per hour—and reduces maintenance costs on expensive equipment. The unit also minimizes worker exposure to harmful exhaust and lessens noise levels on site, creating a more comfortable work atmosphere.

Applications for the EPRO20 range widely—from residential contractors using nail guns to utility companies operating pneumatic tools. Remarkably portable with a total weight of 400 pounds, the unit does not sacrifice operational strength in favor of portability. The option for shore power charging ensures that the battery can be fully replenished overnight, maximizing productivity on the job.

Availability and Future Prospects



Manufactured at Vanair's facility in Michigan City, Indiana, the EPEQ EPRO20 will be distributed through a network of over 500 authorized dealers across the country.
