Jiahui International Cell Therapy Center Aims to Enhance Global CAR-T Access for Patients

Jiahui Launches International Cell Therapy Center

On October 28, 2026, Jiahui International Hospital unveiled the Jiahui International Cell Therapy Center with a commitment to enhancing access to CAR-T (Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell) treatment globally. This new initiative capitalizes on the hospital's experience with groundbreaking CAR-T cases and brings together a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare.

The launch coincided with the inaugural Jiahui International Cell Therapy Summit held on October 23, drawing attention from a global audience with livestream registrations from 14 different countries and regions.

Prominent figures in the field, including Prof. HAO Siguo, Chief of Hematology at Jiahui International Cancer Center (JICC), and Prof. XUAN Linli, Chief of Medical Oncology at JICC, discussed significant advancements in cellular therapies for addressing blood cancers, solid tumors, and autoimmune diseases.

In his address, Eric J. Rubin, Editor-in-Chief of the New England Journal of Medicine, noted a substantial increase in the publication volume of Chinese scholars in medical research, with over 20 studies released in 2026, compared to just one a decade prior. These statistics highlight the rapid progress made in medical innovation within China.

JICC has built a robust reputation for its pioneering efforts in CAR-T treatments, showcasing successes in providing long-term favorable outcomes for patients. Notably, in September 2023, JICC treated its first international patient using axicabtagene ciloleucel (Axi-Cel) CAR-T therapy. This patient, a woman from Singapore diagnosed with primary mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma, continues to enjoy a relapse-free status three years post-treatment.

With a growing portfolio of CAR-T treatments administered to patients from regions such as Singapore, Hong Kong SAR, Russia, Hungary, New Zealand, India, Pakistan, and the Maldives, the center aims to be a key player in global cancer care. The recent approval of Satri-cel (CT041), the first CAR-T therapy in the world authorized for the treatment of solid tumors, marks a significant milestone for Jiahui. Following this, the center has already begun clinical applications and treated the world’s first international recipient, a New Zealander with advanced gastroduodenal cancer.

In his remarks about the center, Prof. Allen WU, President of Jiahui International Hospital, emphasized that the decision to establish the center was spurred by rapidly increasing international demand for innovative therapies. Jiahui Hospital handles nearly 500,000 patient visits each year from individuals belonging to 180 different nations and regions.

The new center aims to integrate research with clinical care, ushering in an era where multidisciplinary expertise can enhance patient outcomes through international service. By fostering collaboration and innovation, the center hopes to provide state-of-the-art medical solutions to an ever-expanding patient base across the globe.

With initiatives like these, Jiahui International Hospital is set to lead the charge in redefining access to advanced CAR-T therapies around the world, positioning itself as a beacon of hope for cancer patients seeking cutting-edge treatment options.
