Nippon Kanzai Begins Support for Revamping Management Plans in Kasuga City

Nippon Kanzai Holdings Inc., based in Chuo, Tokyo, has announced the launch of its revitalization efforts for public management plans in Kasuga City, starting August 18, 2025. The joint venture in which Nippon Kanzai participates will focus on updating the Kasuga City Comprehensive Management Plan for Public Facilities and the Kasuga City Public Facilities Management Plan. These plans are crucial for ensuring the sustainability and efficacy of public services in the region.

Since 2018, Nippon Kanzai has successfully handled over ten planning and revision projects throughout Japan, utilizing its extensive experience in building management and construction to develop effective and actionable strategies. The company aims to not only enhance the management of facilities for longevity and efficiency but also to foster a sense of attachment and richness in the lives of local residents.

Overview of the Tasks

As eight years have passed since the initial establishment of the Kasuga City Comprehensive Management Plan and five years since the management plan's creation, it has become necessary to reevaluate these frameworks. This revision will take into account national guidelines and changes in social conditions, ensuring Kasuga City is well-prepared to provide essential services to its citizens in the future.

From April to June 2025, there will be an open recruitment process for the planning support services, with four entities competing for the role. Eventually, a consortium led by Kyushu Electric Power — including Nippon Kanzai and Nishiko Co., Ltd. — was selected following the contract negotiations, leading to the commencement of facility condition surveys as of August 18.

For this fiscal year, the focus will be on conducting thorough condition surveys, with plans for the actual revision efforts to take place in the following year.

- Verify and analyze achieved goals, optimize facility relocation, explore preventive maintenance principles, and review repair and equipment updating strategies.
3. Condition Assessment:
- Conduct thorough inquiries with facility managers for 97 facilities (excluding 10 under integrated management), alongside visual, manual, and impact assessments.
4. Committee:
- Facilitate public consensus through external expert meetings, generating materials for internal discussions.
