HIKMICRO's Significant Expansion into the Global Instrumentation Market

HIKMICRO's Global Instrumentation Market Journey

On July 10, 2025, HIKMICRO, a subsidiary of HIKVISION, marked a pivotal milestone in its journey by entering the global instrumentation market. This strategic move is highlighted by the launch of high-precision Coriolis and Ultrasonic flow meters. This expansion signifies not only a growth in product offerings but also a commitment to providing affordable industrial solutions that combine production control, predictive maintenance, and safety.

HIKMICRO has built its reputation on a robust integration of chip design and manufacturing, core algorithm development, coupled with comprehensive testing and production processes. Over the years, they have excelled in making innovative thermal imaging technology more accessible across diverse industries. Their unique chip-to-system approach has effectively disrupted the previously held high-price monopolies by industry giants, resulting in enhanced operational capabilities for organizations transitioning to predictive maintenance strategies.

Stefan Li, the Overseas Market Director of HIKMICRO, emphasized the increasing need for cost-effective solutions in the modern industrial landscape: "Factories increasingly need affordable solutions for production control and digital transformation." He noted that HIKMICRO's entry into instrumentation naturally extends from their expertise in thermal imaging technology.

The newly introduced flow meters build upon HIKMICRO’s core competencies, including sensor development, signal processing, and calibration. The FC00 Coriolis Mass Flow Meter boasts an impressive accuracy of ±0.1% for liquids and ±0.5% for gases, making it particularly suitable for sectors such as food and beverages, where precision is essential. This model also features AI-enhanced temperature compensation that ensures density accuracy within ≤±0.001 g/cm³, complemented by built-in diagnostics that monitor system reliability.

Additionally, the FU00 Ultrasonic Flow Meter delivers ±0.5% accuracy in water applications, thanks to its non-invasive design that minimizes pressure loss and system downtime. The proactive AI diagnostics in this meter continually assess signal quality and probe performance, guaranteeing optimal operational standards.

Though the meters themselves offer significant accuracy and performance adaptability, they represent a broader goal: to facilitate digitization in industries without imposing the prohibitive costs traditionally associated with such transformations. HIKMICRO's foray into flow measurement reflects their drive to democratize reliable and precise technology for a broader market segment.

By merging in-house chip design, cutting-edge algorithms, and large-scale manufacturing capabilities, HIKMICRO is now positioned to deliver high-caliber instruments that adhere to stringent industrial standards without the historical pricing barriers.

Currently, HIKMICRO operates in over 100 countries, serving customers from a diverse portfolio that includes handheld thermal cameras, acoustic imaging devices, and fixed thermography systems. The introduction of flow measurement instruments enhances this assortment, creating an integrated platform that supports continuous monitoring, early fault detection, and process optimization—all unified under a singular brand.

Through this expansion, HIKMICRO solidifies its role as a partner for industries striving for practical and scalable solutions to boost efficiency, enhance safety, and accelerate digital transformation.
