Yoky Matsuoka Joins Analog Devices as New Independent Director

Analog Devices Welcomes Dr. Yoky Matsuoka



Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI), a prominent player in the semiconductor industry, recently announced the addition of Dr. Yoky Matsuoka to its Board of Directors as an independent member. This strategic decision, effective from January 20, 2026, brings the total number of Board members to 11, a move that is anticipated to bolster the company’s innovative approach and market adaptability.

Dr. Matsuoka is well-known for her impressive track record in technology and innovation, most recently serving as an executive at Panasonic Holdings. There, she played a critical role in spearheading global innovation initiatives and new business ventures across diverse sectors. Her previous experiences include significant leadership roles within renowned companies such as Google and Apple. At Google, she was instrumental as Vice President of its healthcare division, leading projects that enhanced the integration of technology in healthcare solutions. Notably, she also held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Nest, and led the innovative efforts at Google X, the think tank responsible for pioneering projects that meld advanced technology with real-world applications.

Before making her mark in Silicon Valley, Dr. Matsuoka was an esteemed professor at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Washington, where she focused on AI, robotics, and neuroscience. Her pioneering work in these fields earned her the prestigious MacArthur Genius Award, alongside founding the YokyWorks Foundation, an organization dedicated to assisting children with physical and learning challenges.

Dr. Matsuoka holds a Ph.D. and S.M. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), complemented by a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in the same discipline. In 2023, she was recognized on Inc.'s prestigious Top Female Founders list as well as Forbes' 50 Over 50 Innovation list, highlighting her influence and contributions to technology and innovation.
