A New Era of E-Mobility: Fast-Charging EV Station Launches in Duiven
On April 8, 2026, the official opening of a cutting-edge electric vehicle (EV) charging station took place in Duiven, Netherlands, at the Nieuwe Tijd location. This pivotal event, celebrated with significant attendance from partners, international guests, and industry leaders across the e-mobility landscape, marks a crucial advancement in the infrastructure supporting electric vehicles.
At the core of this innovative establishment is Zerova's standalone DC fast charger from the DV-series, delivering a remarkable 60 kW. Designed specifically for rapid and reliable service in high-demand public environments, this charger offers ultra-fast CCS2 charging combined with OCPP-enabled backend integration. This integration guarantees seamless operation, remote monitoring, and scalable solutions for future demands, thereby accommodating the growing number of EV users. The charging unit provides an intuitive user experience, featuring a 7-inch display, RFID user authorization, and multiple intelligent safety measures.
To enhance grid resilience, the site incorporates 10 BUIMA energy storage tiles, each holding 4 kWh of energy, totaling 40 kWh of local energy storage. This integration not only supports demand during peak hours but also stabilizes power delivery and eases the load on the local grid, promoting smarter energy management as electric vehicle usage continues to expand.
"By combining our DV-series fast charger with BUIMA's modular energy storage system, we demonstrate how intelligent infrastructure can provide high-power charging that benefits both electric vehicle drivers and the energy grid," stated Jay Yang, the Global CEO of Zerova. He emphasized that the Duiven project exemplifies the power of collaboration in transforming advanced technologies into practical, scalable electric mobility solutions that can be utilized every day.
Guests attending the opening ceremony were given the opportunity to witness the station's impressive capabilities first-hand. They experienced significantly reduced charging times in comparison to traditional AC charging, ensured stable operation under various conditions, and enjoyed seamless interactions through the digital interface and RFID access. Furthermore, the energy storage solution illustrated how local buffering effectively maintains consistent charging performance, even amid peak demand periods.
Baoxian Fei, CEO and Founder of Zemovi, expressed pride in the station as a solution that truly meets the needs of today’s electric vehicle drivers. The event was enriched by cultural elements such as a traditional Chinese Lion Dance, symbolizing prosperity and success, followed by a unique Asian dining experience for all attendees.
Harvey Chuang, President of the Buima Group, noted the significance of this launch in advancing smarter, more sustainable charging solutions. He highlighted, "Together with our partners, we are laying the foundation for the future of mobility." The successful opening of this station marks a significant milestone in the ongoing evolution of electric vehicle infrastructure, providing a glimpse of the promising future of sustainable transportation. With continued collaboration and technological advancements, the path ahead looks bright for the electric mobility ecosystem.
