Experience a Unique Wine Dinner by Shangri-La Tokyo and Kisvin Winery

Exclusive Wine Dinner at Shangri-La Tokyo

An exceptional experience awaits wine lovers at Shangri-La Tokyo as they team up with Kisvin Winery for a unique one-night-only wine dinner. Taking place at the stunning Italian restaurant Piacere on the 28th floor, the event showcases world-class wines that will tantalize your taste buds. This dinner is particularly significant as it's the first of its kind since Piacere's reopening in the autumn of two years ago and marks a 12-year relationship with Kisvin Winery, established just a year after its founding in 2014.

The wine dinner features meticulously crafted wines from acclaimed viticulturist Yasuhiro Ogihara and expert winemaker Mayu Saito. Their high-quality, clear wines shine especially bright during the fresh transition from spring to early summer, making this dinner perfectly timed just before the Golden Week holidays. The concept of the dinner revolves around farm-to-table dining, emphasizing local produce from Yamanashi Prefecture. Seasonal ingredients, such as trout raised at the foot of Mount Fuji and wild vegetables, will be paired with the wines to enhance their unique flavors and characteristics.

On the event day, guests can expect to be transported to a winery atmosphere reminiscent of Yamanashi. The tapas area at Piacere will be specially curated for this occasion, where attendees can sip sparkling wine and enjoy hors d'oeuvres while mingling with Ogihara, who is also the president of Kisvin Winery. After being seated, guests will have the opportunity to watch chefs at work in an open-kitchen environment, experiencing the culinary artistry firsthand. This combination of wine, food, and live cooking adds to the evening's excitement.

Throughout the four-course meal, Ogihara will personally circulate among the tables, providing insights into his commitment to winemaking, grape cultivation, and the story of Kisvin Winery. This is a rare chance for diners to interact directly with the visionary behind the winery.

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and indulge in an evening where the beautiful wines from Kisvin Winery meet the unique culinary creations of the chef. This exclusive dinner promises a memorable night, reflecting the rich terroir of Yamanashi.
