AITO and Performance Plus Motors Seal Strategic Partnership for Smart Luxury Expansion
AITO and Performance Plus Motors Unite for Global Expansion
AITO, the renowned Chinese luxury smart vehicle brand, recently announced a significant step in its international strategy by signing a strategic partnership agreement with Performance Plus Motors, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Motors. This deal marks a pivotal moment in AITO’s quest to establish a foothold in the Middle Eastern luxury vehicle market.
The signing ceremony took place in Chongqing, China, where Jason Wang, the President of SERES AUTO Overseas BU, joined Syed Faiz Karim, CEO of Abu Dhabi Motors, in formalizing this partnership. Attendees included industry leaders, such as Leon He, President of SERES AUTO, and Kelvin Zhao, the chief representative of ADM China, who witnessed this milestone event.
In recent years, the demand for luxury smart vehicles has surged, and AITO has emerged as a leading player in this sector. Within just 46 months, the company has produced over one million vehicles. The flagship model, the AITO 9, has dominated the Chinese market for vehicles priced above 500,000 RMB for the past 21 months, underscoring AITO’s strength in the luxury smart mobility space.
The partnership with Performance Plus Motors is expected to bolster both companies' abilities to compete in the luxury automotive sector. ADM, with 40 years of market presence, has established itself as one of the Middle East's most prolific dealerships specializing in luxury cars. The company is known for its extensive customer base and innovative service strategies. Through this collaboration, AITO aims to leverage ADM’s extensive market insight and operational resources.
One of the key outcomes of this partnership is the establishment of luxury AITO vehicles' sales, delivery, and after-sales services in the UAE. Performance Plus Motors plans to create dedicated experience centers and service hubs to provide customers with immersive AITO experiences, aligning with the brand’s positioning. Additionally, ADM will conduct local marketing endeavors, utilizing its knowledge of high-end consumer segments to facilitate AITO's swift penetration into this competitive market.
“Partnering with ADM is crucial for AITO's globalization strategy and marks a new beginning in our exploration of the electric luxury vehicle market in the Middle East,” said Jason Wang. He emphasized that ADM's deep-rooted experience and resources would offer substantial support for AITO’s local operations. “Our combined efforts will not only introduce innovative technologies to the luxury automotive landscape but will also enhance AITO's competitive edge globally.”
Syed Faiz Karim echoed these sentiments, stating that AITO's technological capabilities and luxury positioning are perfectly aligned with the high-end market demands in the Middle East. He expressed confidence that utilizing ADM’s distribution channels and operational effectiveness would significantly bolster AITO’s long-term growth in the UAE. “Together, we will venture into the electric luxury vehicle segment and continuously deliver more innovative and luxurious mobility experiences,” he added.
AITO's flagship model has already undergone local adaptation tests in the UAE, with the AITO 9 currently going through road tests. The vehicles have reached the Dubai port and are ready for immediate delivery following the official launch. With ADM’s well-established infrastructural network, AITO is poised for a successful product launch and sustained operations in the region.
In summary, this strategic partnership signifies AITO's commitment to growing its presence in the Middle East while laying the groundwork for potential expansions into neighboring regions. As AITO continues to build its international footprint, the collaboration with Performance Plus Motors stands as a testament to the evolving landscape of luxury smart vehicles.
