Fukuko Achieves A- Rating in Climate and Water Security by CDP 2025

Fukuko's Recognition by CDP

Fukuko Corporation, headquartered in Shinjuku, Tokyo, has recently received an impressive A- rating from CDP, an international non-profit organization, recognizing its advanced initiatives in addressing climate change and its commitment to transparency in information disclosure. This rating pertains to the organization's efforts in climate change and water security for the year 2025, positioning Fukuko as a leader in corporate sustainability efforts.

CDP utilizes a comprehensive and independent scoring method to evaluate companies based on the inclusivity of their information disclosures, their awareness and management of environmental risks, and the establishment of ambitious and meaningful goals. This scoring system ranges from A to D-, illustrating the varying degrees of environmental leadership and practices within organizations. In 2025, more than 22,100 companies, collectively representing over half of the world's market capitalization, disclosed their dependencies, impacts, risks, and opportunities via CDP.

Fukuko Group's commitment to environmental stewardship is exemplified by its adherence to the recommendations set forth by the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) since March 2022. The company has set ambitious targets to reduce its CO2 emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by 31% compared to the fiscal year ending March 2020, with a long-term goal of achieving net-zero CO2 emissions by fiscal year 2050. Under the initiative titled 'Fukuko Eco Action 2.0', various working groups across multiple sectors—including product management, supply chain management, production, logistics, sales, and office operations—have been established to develop self-imposed targets to tackle environmental challenges such as climate change.

Regarding water security, Fukuko recognizes the conservation of water resources as a critical issue and has implemented specific risk management strategies to enhance its performance in this area. This proactive approach has contributed significantly to its high rating from CDP.

Going forward, Fukuko aims to advance numerous initiatives focused on climate change and water security. Additionally, the company is committed to promoting the effective use of recycled resources to foster the development of a sustainable circular economy.
