Standex International Corporation Announces New Board Member

Standex International Corporation (NYSE: SXI), a prominent manufacturer renowned for its engineered components and systems, has recently unveiled the appointment of Brenna D. Preisser to its Board of Directors. This significant addition will take effect on January 1, 2027, marking a hopeful new chapter for the organization.

Brenna Preisser holds a vital position as Executive Vice President and President of Brunswick Boat Group at Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC). As an independent director, she will actively participate in both the Board's Compensation Committee and Innovation Technology Committee. This strategic appointment exemplifies Standex’s commitment to fostering a robust governance structure alongside its ambitious growth trajectory.

With Brenna filling the position vacated by B. Joanne Edwards, who is set to retire from the Board after eight years of dedicated service, the Board will be comprised of eight directors, with seven being independent. This seamless transition follows a methodical succession planning process conducted by the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.

David Dunbar, who serves as Chairman, President, and CEO of Standex, expressed his enthusiasm about Brenna joining the Board, stating, “Her experience in managing global manufacturing operations and creating new growth avenues will be invaluable as we continue to scale our business and implement our growth strategy.” He also extended gratitude towards Joanne Edwards for her substantial contributions during her tenure, particularly noting her leadership in the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and her pivotal role in growth strategy discussions.

Brenna Preisser welcomed the opportunity to join Standex, emphasizing, “I am honored to be a part of the Standex Board. The company possesses a solid foundation of highly engineered products that serve appealing end markets, and I am eager to collaborate with David and my fellow directors to promote the company’s ongoing growth.” Her remarkable career spans over 20 years at Brunswick Corporation, where she has taken on significant leadership roles across various sectors, underscoring her strong credentials for this new position.

Currently, Brenna oversees a $1.4 billion global portfolio that includes 18 boat brands and 11 manufacturing facilities across regions such as the United States, Canada, Europe, and New Zealand. Prior to her current role, she successfully scaled the recreational marine industry's largest boat club and subscription platform while directing new ventures and leading Brunswick Financial Services. Her leadership experience is strengthened by her tenure as Brunswick’s Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer, where she gained extensive knowledge in strategy formulation, mergers and acquisitions, executive succession, and compensation management.

Academically, Brenna holds a B.B.A. from Ohio University and an M.B.A. from Ashland University, contributing to her comprehensive understanding of business dynamics that will surely benefit Standex.

As for B. Joanne Edwards, who has been part of the Standex Board since 2018, she previously served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Residential and Wiring Device Division of Eaton Corporation. Her leadership across Eaton and Veris Industries has also left a positive impact on Standex, through effective governance and strategic oversight.

In addition to her performance on the Board, Standex International Corporation, operating across multiple sectors including electronics, aerospace, scientific and hydraulics, remains committed to innovation and excellence. With the welcoming of Brenna Preisser, the company is poised to enhance its operational capabilities while continuing to address the demands of its competitive market landscape.
