JetZero Secures $175 Million to Transform Aircraft Innovation



In a significant breakthrough for aviation, JetZero, an innovative American start-up, has successfully raised approximately $175 million in its Series B financing round. This funding will play a crucial role in advancing the development of JetZero's revolutionary all-wing aircraft, aimed at achieving a remarkable 30% improvement in aerodynamic performance compared to conventional aircraft designs, such as traditional tube-and-wing models.

Founded in 2020 by industry veterans Tom O'Leary and Mark Page, JetZero has garnered serious attention for its ambitious goal of creating the first commercial all-wing airplane, known as the Z4. With funding contributions from renowned investment firms like B Capital, alongside support from prominent players including United Airlines Ventures, Northrop Grumman, and 3M Ventures, JetZero's financial backing has now exceeded $1 billion. This total includes various government grants and commercial commitments, highlighting the substantial confidence in JetZero's vision for the future of flight.

The funds raised from this latest investment round will particularly focus on accelerating the finalization of a full-size aircraft prototype, designated as the Demonstrator, which is on track to make its inaugural flight in 2027. This prototype serves as a vital first step for JetZero’s vision, allowing the company to bring its unique aircraft design to life.
