ACB Conference and Convention 2026: Soaring to New Heights
The American Council of the Blind (ACB) has officially opened registration for its upcoming 2026 Conference and Convention, a much-anticipated event that promises to bring together individuals committed to advancing accessibility and inclusion for those who are blind or visually impaired.
Set to take place both virtually and in-person from July 13 to July 31, 2026, the conference will be held at the St. Louis Hyatt Regency Arch Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri. This year's theme, "Soaring to New Heights," emphasizes the importance of advocacy, technology, and collaboration in shaping an accessible future for all.
The event will feature an impressive lineup of programming designed to educate, inspire, and connect attendees. From thought-provoking keynote speakers to engaging breakout sessions, attendees will have ample opportunities to learn about the latest developments in accessibility technology. Additionally, the vibrant exhibit hall will showcase innovative solutions and services aimed at improving the lives of individuals with visual impairments.
Scott Thornhill, ACB Executive Director, shares his excitement for this year’s convention: "Our annual gathering is a vital space for our community to unite, share knowledge, and amplify our collective efforts toward expanding accessibility and opportunity. Whether attending virtually or in person, participants can forge new connections, explore groundbreaking technology, and contribute to enhancing inclusion for all."
The conference is designed for both ACB members and non-members. Non-member participants are encouraged to join ACB by June 12, 2026, for a nominal fee of $10, which will grant them a discount on their registration fee. Attendees must complete their registration by the July 6 deadline, and early sign-up is strongly recommended to ensure access to a full range of conference offerings.
ACB acknowledges and appreciates the vital sponsorship from various partners who support this event. Their contributions not only facilitate a rich experience for attendees but also reflect shared commitments to promoting opportunity and equality for people who are blind or visually impaired.
