This segment focuses on rediscovering the value of lighthouses and enhancing their significance through insights from a diverse network of experts across various disciplines. Only in-person attendance will be available for this segment, aimed at scholars and industry professionals. October 21 (Tuesday)

11:30 - 13:30: Lighthouse Summit Symposium
Featuring prominent thinkers, including quiz player Takuji Izawa, this hybrid event will explore innovative experiences related to visiting lighthouses, viewed through the lenses of tourism, psychology, and community development.
Admission is currently open.

15:00 - 18:00: Midterm Report Meeting for the Umi and Lighthouse Project 2025
Thirteen organizations dedicated to sustainable lighthouse utilization will share their progress and future expectations. This segment will also be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing for both in-person and online participation.
Applications for attendance are welcome.

Location: TOKYO FM Hall, Chiyoda, Tokyo
Access: A short walk from Hanzomon Station (approx. 3 minutes) or Kōjimachi Station (approx. 6 minutes).

Participation


Each of the symposium and midterm meetings will accommodate up to 180 attendees, and participation is free of charge.
