Celebrating Four Decades of Change with ADRA Japan

ADRA Japan, an accredited nonprofit organization located in Shibuya, Tokyo, is gearing up to celebrate its 40th anniversary in March 2025. While we may not be able to eradicate war or poverty entirely, we are committed to creating 'more better' change through our new campaign. The 'More Better Campaign' will kick off on May 23, encouraging everyone to participate in building a better future through the purchase of specially designed T-shirts and tote bags.

The Concept Behind 'More Better'

The term 'More Better' may sound grammatically peculiar, yet it embodies a crucial philosophy for us. In a world still plagued by wars and disasters, we recognize that our 40-year journey may not be labeled 'perfect' or 'the best.' Nevertheless, thanks to the support from our community, we have continuously strived to help each person facing challenging circumstances achieve 'just a little better' every day, accumulating small changes along the way.

Our Connection with Taro Gomi

Illustrator and picture book author Taro Gomi's work, particularly Awabook, resonates with our mission. Each turning page communicates the heartfelt wish: 'Wouldn't it be wonderful if the world was like this?' ADRA strongly relates to this warm and unique perspective. As we aim to foster a 'More Better world,' we have chosen Taro Gomi's illustrations as the central motif for our campaign, reflecting our shared dreams.

High-Quality Merchandise for Everyone

The campaign features T-shirts for both adults and children and stylish tote bags, all crafted with care and attention to quality. These special items have been created in collaboration with a well-known select shop, ensuring that they meet the high standards we believe our supporters deserve.

The tote bags are made from 100% high-quality cotton, featuring Taro Gomi's illustrations meticulously reproduced to maintain their vibrancy and charm. Designed for durability and eco-friendliness, these products are made on a made-to-order basis, reducing waste and allowing everyone to incorporate the ideals of a 'More Better world' into their daily lives.
