Experience the Chilling Narratives at 'Kiwakowa 2025' in Asakusa

As summer approaches, Asakusa is set to host a beloved annual event that promises to send shivers down your spine. The reading play titled 'Kiwakowa 2025' is slated for performances from July 19 to July 21, featuring a thrilling lineup of talent and a unique blend of storytelling that blends horror, sound, and visuals.

This year's addition of moca, a former member of the popular dance and vocal group lol, marks her debut in a reading play. Since her major debut in 2015 with lol, where the group went on to win the Rookie of the Year Award at the 57th Japan Record Awards, moca has also made a name for herself in theatrical performances. Her participation promises to draw audiences deep into the eerie world of 'Kiwakowa'.

'Kiwakowa 2025' is based on the works of the renowned horror manga artist, Takaki Eiyuu, known for his captivating series and adaptations into films and original video animations. The stories presented will immerse attendees in an intriguing and frightening setting, evoking the terror of his original works.

On July 21, the stage also welcomes the talented Lee U-gon of TRITOPS, a male vocal group known for their outstanding vocal skills and presence on stage. Alongside him are Yuudai Suzuki, who has showcased his talents in various musicals, and Amon Hirai, currently lending his voice to Chihiro Isuzukawa in the anime UniteUp!. Additionally, Sayaka Honishi, renowned for her roles in the 2.5-dimensional plays like Hakuouki and Mobile Suit Gundam 00, completes this impressive cast.

The reading play consists of three segments. The first two parts feature distinct stories, while the third part, named 'Kaidan Asakusa Special Night', will present spine-chilling true ghost stories shared by the cast members. This segment will feature Ami, a popular ghost storyteller known for her numerous engagements across the country, alongside original creator Takaki Eiyuu himself, who will be present for all performances.
