Storyline Overview
The protagonist, Katsuwo, a struggling comedian facing setbacks in his career, finds himself swamped by disappointment after a failed performance and the dissolution of his comedy duo. Just when he contemplates giving up, he hears rumors about a peculiar establishment, the Asakusa Roukaku, which houses the infamous 'Guchi-An'. This establishment claims that sharing your grievances with their resident mountain witches can lead to a stroke of good luck.
As Katsuwo steps into the enchanting world of Guchi-An, he is greeted by an eccentric assembly of four mountain witches and an array of fantastical beings that reside within the Asakusa Roukaku. However, the rewards for sharing his complaints aren't monetary but rather bizarre requests, such as giving comedy lessons to deities or riding roller coasters at Hanayashiki. These whimsical demands further entwine Katsuwo into the fabric of Asakusa's vibrant culture and its grand festival, the Sanja Matsuri, leaving readers wondering whether his luck is truly about to turn.
