Accelerating Wellness in Urban Living through Strategic Partnership
In a groundbreaking move, Shintoshi Life Laboratory, based in Koto, Tokyo, has received funding from the Saiseikan Co-Creation Laboratory of the Saiseikan Pharmaceutical Group. This partnership aims to advance the concept of a "healthy culture stemming from housing" in urban communities. Both entities share a vision that encourages a society where individuals feel joy for the future—a mission that aligns with their collaborative efforts focused on urban multifamily housing, health, beauty, and community.
Transforming Shared Spaces into Cultural Assets
Shintoshi Life Laboratory is Japan’s first company to engage directly with condominium management associations, transforming shared spaces into vibrant cultural venues through unique events known as "Classba." Operating across several large-scale residential complexes in regions like Tokyo Bay, Musashi Kosugi, and Osaka—covering 56 buildings and approximately 27,000 units—this innovative platform promotes mutual benefit among residents, businesses, and associations.
Through immersive experiences beyond the reach of digital advertising, Shintoshi Life Laboratory creates meaningful interactions, establishing a trust-based brand experience for companies and providing abundant opportunities for residents to connect and learn. The firm plays a vital role in enhancing urban life quality with about 100 events yearly, reaching over 20,000 residents.
With this new partnership, both companies aim to create touchpoints where urban dwellers can discover personal health and beauty in their everyday lives.
A Commitment to Implement Well-being through Housing
Saiseikan Co-Creation Laboratory seeks to promote value creation through collaboration with various industries under its mission of supporting individuals to have joyful and healthy tomorrows. The strategic partnership with Shintoshi Life Laboratory is a practical implementation of extending this vision into real urban life scenarios.
Moving forward, the two entities will focus on collaboration in three key areas:
1. Promoting Well-being Brands
Utilizing the condominium signage "Residence Connect" and the new Classba app, the initiative will introduce Saiseikan Pharmaceutical’s content focused on "skin, body, and mind health." By integrating wellness awareness into daily routines—such as during pre-departure or homecoming relaxation moments—the collaboration aims to seamlessly incorporate these messages into urban lifestyles.
2. Experiential Caravans in Shared Spaces
Activities like "five-minute hand care consultations," skin assessments, and wellness seminars will be organized for residents. This will allow busy urban dwellers to easily access health and beauty professionals right in their lobby or lounge, creating a community space for wellness discussions.
3. Building Sustainable Relationships through Digital Co-Creation
By linking the app with on-site signage, this model will visualize the flow from the curiosity of residents to experience, purchase, and ongoing engagement. This aims to establish a new cyclical model supporting wellness behaviors among urban residents, fostering a culture of health and community engagement centered around their homes.
