Hardee's Names Clint Adkins as 2025 Biscuit Baker Champion After Thrilling Competition

Hardee's Celebrates Culinary Excellence with 2025 National Biscuit Baker Champion

Hardee's, an iconic name in the fast-food industry famous for its Made from Scratch™ Biscuits, proudly announced Clint Adkins from Indiana as the winner of the 2025 National Biscuit Baker Competition. The grand finale of this prestigious event took place at the headquarters of CKE Restaurants Holdings, Inc., the parent company of Hardee's and Carl's Jr. After a series of competitive local and regional rounds, Adkins emerged as the top contender among four finalists, each bringing their best to the table.

Adkins, along with fellow finalists Tammy Getchey from Alabama, Amanda McIntosh from Tennessee, and Martha Mahaffey from North Carolina, faced off in a challenging task: baking 52 perfect biscuits in just 15 minutes. This intense race tested not only their speed but also their precision and expertise in biscuit making. The baked goods were judged based on various criteria including color, texture, and taste, and Adkins displayed exceptional technique, consistency, and a deep love for the craft that ultimately won him the coveted title.

"The best part about being a biscuit baker is the excitement the customers have and the appreciation my coworkers have for what I do," Adkins shared, reflecting on his long-standing commitment to Hardee's since 2012. His victory was not just about the title; it came with a $10,000 cash prize, recognizing his hard work and dedication.

Tony D'Amico, president of Hardee's, praised Adkins, stating, "Hardee's is built on the passion and commitment of team members like Clint. Our biscuit bakers are the secret ingredient to Hardee's best in class breakfast menu, and we are thrilled to honor Clint's hard work and celebrate the craft that goes into every Made from Scratch Biscuit."

The other finalists also received recognition for their efforts. The second, third, and fourth place winners walked away with $2,500 each, underscoring the high caliber of talent present in this year's competition.
