Spring Zero Urinary Anxiety Declaration!
On March 15, 2026, the Japanese Society of Urology will host a public lecture titled "Spring Zero Urinary Anxiety Declaration! - A Health Lifespan Project for Welcoming a Fresh New Life," at the Otemachi First Square Conference East in Tokyo. The event aims to tackle urinary issues that are becoming increasingly prevalent in Japan's super-aged society.
As we face challenges like nighttime frequent urination and urinary incontinence, understanding their impacts on overall health is imperative. These urinary troubles can significantly affect sleep quality and increase the risk of falls, both of which are directly related to one's healthy lifespan. With the arrival of the new fiscal year, the Society hopes to help participants start spring without urinary anxiety, thus fostering a more vibrant and active lifestyle.

Special Lectures by Medical Experts
The public lecture features two special presentations aimed at addressing the urinary concerns of both men and women:
- - Lecture 1: "Why Do We Need to Get Up Multiple Times for the Bathroom at Night?" - Dr. Tetsunori Sekido
- - Lecture 2: "Are You Worried About Urine Leakage When You're Out and About?" - Dr. Hikaru Tomoe
These discussions will delve into the underlying reasons behind urinary issues and how they relate to frailty, including decreased walking speed and a history of falls. Rather than being merely an inconvenience, urinary troubles can be vital indicators of health. By addressing these concerns, the lectures aim to offer insights into extending one's healthy lifespan and enhancing overall quality of life (QOL).
Interactive Learning with Momoko
In addition to the lectures, attendees will enjoy an engaging quiz session with the well-known comedian Momoko, who will lead participants through questions addressing common urinary concerns, such as: "Do you feel uneasy if you don't know where the nearest restroom is when you're out?" The goal is to make learning enjoyable while better understanding the medical aspects of urinary health.
