Discover Culinary Excellence at Hoshigaoka with a Special Order Buffet event

Culinary Delight Awaits at Hoshigaoka

The Capital Hotel Tokyu in Nagatacho, Tokyo, is hosting an exceptional culinary event at its revered dining establishment, Chinese Restaurant "Hoshigaoka." This event, dedicated to celebrating local flavors, will run from October 3, 2026, to January 11, 2027, exclusively on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.

During the 'Special Treat Kōfuku Fair,' diners can indulge in a vastly diverse order buffet, a tradition upheld since the establishment’s origin. Guests will have the pleasure of experiencing authentic Chinese cuisine served straight to their tables, allowing them to savor as much as they desire. This event marks the culmination of a year-long celebration showcasing regional ingredients.

Chef Takayuki Yamahashi, who has personally travelled to the four participating prefectures—Kagoshima, Yamaguchi, Iwate, and Ehime—cultivating relationships with local producers, has curated an extraordinary menu featuring the finest local delicacies. Drawing inspiration from the philosophy of renowned culinary artist Rosanjin Kitauji, the dishes focus on the essence of quality ingredients, providing an opportunity for guests to explore the unique terroirs of Japan.

The Essence of Seasonal Ingredients

Notably, Chef Yamahashi has sourced the "Yūnagi Hamo" from Iyo City in Ehime Prefecture, a delicacy characterized by its freshness and rich flavor. While hamo (conger eel) is typically enjoyed in summer, the autumn season offers the “Nagori no Hamo,” celebrated for its delectable taste. This dish will be presented in a refined manner, elevating the seasonal ingredient to new culinary heights.

The commitment to understanding the essence of food—its origin and the craftsmanship behind it—continues to be at the heart of Hoshigaoka’s philosophy. Each dish in the buffet showcases the beauty of these ingredients, ensuring guests enjoy a truly unique dining experience.
