OpenAGI Unveils Lux: The Revolutionary Computer-Use Foundation Model

OpenAGI Foundation, a pioneering research institution focused on computer use, has announced the launch of its latest model, Lux. Revealed on December 1, 2025, in San Francisco, Lux is hailed as the most advanced foundation model dedicated to enhancing computer user experience. Achieving an impressive score of 83.6 on the Online-Mind2Web benchmark—a comprehensive assessment of over 300 real-world computer-use tasks—Lux surpasses other leading AI models. Notably, it outperformed Google's Gemini CUA, which scored 69.0, OpenAI's Operator at 61.3, and Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 4 which scored 61.0.

This groundbreaking model has been developed by a team of top-tier AI researchers from esteemed institutions such as MIT, Carnegie Mellon University, and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. With a processing speed of one second per step versus three seconds from OpenAI’s Operator and a cost-effectiveness that is ten times cheaper per token, Lux is designed to revolutionize the way we interact with computers.

To maximize its potential, Lux introduces a Software Development Kit (SDK) that empowers developers to create innovative applications for various uses.
