Fostering Career Awareness through Experiential Program for Students

On October 9, 2025, Dormy Inn PREMIUM Kushiro is set to welcome middle school students from Kusei Junior High School for an engaging career experience program called the DOMINISTA CHALLENGE. This initiative is organized by Kyoritsu Maintenance Co., Ltd., which operates the Dormy Inn business hotels and aims to provide insightful and hands-on experiences for young learners.

About the DOMINISTA CHALLENGE Program

Since its inception in 2019, the DOMINISTA CHALLENGE has offered career exploration opportunities to middle and high school students across various Dormy Inn locations nationwide. This program provides students with comprehensive exposure to the hospitality industry through real-life tasks such as front desk interactions, cleaning, and bed-making. By participating in these activities, students gain valuable insight into the work-life of hotel staff and develop an appreciation for the importance of customer service and teamwork.

In today’s global society, which is marked by diverse cultural backgrounds, the experiences offered by hotel careers serve as a practical learning platform for students, enriching their understanding of multicultural coexistence. To date, over 60 schools have participated in this innovative program, with 21 schools from the Hokkaido and Tohoku regions alone having engaged in this career education initiative.

- Lecture: Overview of the hospitality industry, the joys of working in hotels, and roles within the hotel.
- Hands-on Experience: Engagement in front desk duties, learning hotel etiquette, customer service, facility management, and room inspections, including preparation activities for the public bath area.
