The survey, which included 141 respondents, highlighted the ongoing interest in home renovations, especially in kitchen areas.

The survey targeted former clients of Nikka Home's Kanto branch from August 26 to September 16, 2025. Conducted through an online questionnaire, the results showed that 92.2% of respondents stated they feel comfortable in their homes post-renovation. With the inclusion of numerous areas of residence, the participant breakdown consisted of 42.6% from Tokyo, 29.1% from Kanagawa, 14.2% from Saitama, and 12.8% from Chiba.

Customer Satisfaction Insights



When asked about their home renovation experience, 130 out of 141 customers—over 90%—reported a positive outcome, indicating high ratings for comfort and satisfaction. This reflects Nikka Home’s dedication to quality work and customer care. However, the survey also revealed that approximately 71.6% of the participants are considering further renovations, which emphasizes a notable demand for improvements in their living spaces.

Ranking of Renovation Needs



Among those who are contemplating further renovations, the survey asked for specific areas they wish to improve. The results revealed a ranking of the most desired renovation areas:

1. Kitchen and kitchen-related improvements (34 respondents)
2. Interior renovations such as wallpaper and wall coverings (31 respondents)
3. Bathroom renovations (26 respondents)
3. Flooring changes, including carpeting (26 respondents)
5. Window and frame improvements (21 respondents)

This data indicates where the focus of customer interest lies, with kitchens emerging as the most sought-after renovation area.

Interest in Energy-Efficient Renovations



The survey also assessed interest in energy-efficient and eco-friendly renovations. Approximately 52.5% expressed a desire for improvements that enhance insulation and reduce energy costs, highlighting a growing awareness of sustainability among homeowners. Key motivations driving this interest include:

1. Expectation for enhanced insulation performance (31 respondents)
2. Awareness of rising energy costs (23 respondents)
3. Interest in utilizing grants from government and local authorities (8 respondents)
4. Previous positive experiences with renovations (4 respondents)

Many homeowners recognize the pressing need to adapt their homes for climate change, as recent heatwaves and temperature fluctuations underscore urgency. The desire for improved insulation aligns with increased consumer consciousness towards energy efficiency.

Interest in Utilizing Grant Programs



Additionally, about 80.1% of respondents showed interest in using grants for home renovations. The high level of awareness regarding this subject illustrates the impact of media coverage and proactive outreach by companies like Nikka Home in informing customers. The primary sources of information that shaped respondents' interest include:

1. Media reports in TV, newspapers, and advertisements (51 respondents)
2. Proposals from Nikka Home (21 respondents)
3. Local government communications (18 respondents)
4. Information provided by other companies or stores (8 respondents)
5. Recommendations from friends and family (3 respondents)

This indicates a clear tendency for consumers to first learn about grant opportunities through media before seeking solutions suggested by renovation companies.
