Fashion Industry Leaders Gather in Copenhagen to Define Resilient Futures

Global Fashion Leaders Convene in Copenhagen for Summit 2026

The prestigious Global Fashion Summit: Copenhagen Edition 2026 is set to convene from May 6 to 7, under the theme 'Building Resilient Futures,' with vital pre-Summit activities kicking off on May 5. Patronage of this event is held by Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark, signaling its importance and global attention within the fashion industry.

This year's Summit comes at a crucial juncture for fashion sustainability. The industry has faced significant challenges recently, especially due to disruptions in supply chains linked to key sourcing nations such as Bangladesh, Turkey, and Vietnam. The urgency for transformation has been amplified following critical global climate changes, as last year recorded an average temperature rise surpassing the 1.5°C mark stipulated in the Paris Agreement. This alarming trend has put the industry's reliance on sustainable practices to the test and highlighted the necessity for adapting to changing environmental conditions.

The summit’s theme embodies this moment of both reckoning and renewal, compelling the fashion community to examine its place on the resilience spectrum. Are they going to remain rigid and resistant to change, or will they exhibit agility and adopt a proactive approach?

Innovative concepts are becoming essential in viewing the fashion landscape in terms of resilience. The summit will critically address topics like circular economy networks, material advancements, evolving policy frameworks, new financing avenues, and leveraging data-driven accountability to empower long-term sustainability. These focus areas aim to build an empowered and equitable framework for the future.

A pivotal aspect of the Global Fashion Summit is fostering collaboration. Brands and professionals will be encouraged to engage actively in problem-solving dialogues that seek to transform upheaval into strengths. The diverse programming will feature five stages designed to offer broad insights and unique session formats, allowing for extensive knowledge sharing among participants.

Among the highlights, the Innovation Forum will serve as a platform showcasing cutting-edge solutions throughout the supply chain, from innovative materials to advanced recycling methods. Attendees will also be able to participate in a Matchmaking Programme, where tailored meetings can be arranged with solution providers, fostering partnerships targeted at bolstering sustainability initiatives.

Federica Marchionni, CEO of the Global Fashion Agenda, expresses the importance of diverse perspectives in achieving the goal of resilient futures: “There isn't a singular solution, just pathways guided by specific contexts aimed at a just and regenerative fashion system.” She urges participants to bring their unique visions into the Summit discussions, further enhancing collaborative efforts toward sustainable fashion.

Registration for the Global Fashion Summit is currently open, with options ranging from Regular tickets priced between €755 and €1080 (depending on company size plus VAT) to Premium tickets and options for students and NGOs at lower rates. Additionally, a limited number of discounted tickets are available until early December, enabling participants to secure their spot in advance before prices increase.
