K-Culture Festa in New York: A Celebration of Korean Heritage
The Korean Cultural Center New York (KCCNY), an initiative by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of South Korea, is thrilled to announce the K-Culture Festa taking place in New York City this summer. A vibrant celebration of Korean culture, this festival runs throughout July and August 2025, showcasing a multitude of programs that highlight K-Music, K-Beaty, K-Dance, K-Film, and K-Picture Book.
This festival not only marks a significant milestone—celebrating the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation—but also aims to engage the younger audience, particularly Millennials and Gen Z. With a mission to foster cultural understanding, the K-Culture Festa seeks to create new connections between Korea and the United States through artistic interaction.
Headlining Events
K-Music Night (August 6, Lincoln Center's Damrosch Park)
One of the festival's crown jewels is the K-Music Night, to be held in collaboration with Lincoln Center. The concert features Korea's legendary rock icon, the Kim Changwan Band, along with rising stars such as TOUCHED and indie-pop favorites, Monday Feeling. The lineup uniquely blends classic and contemporary Korean music styles in an electrifying performance. This free event is expected to attract large crowds, thanks to its first-come, first-served entry policy.
Eun-Me Ahn's Dragons (July 30 – August 3, Doris Duke Theatre)
Korean contemporary dance will be magnificently represented when choreographer Eun-Me Ahn presents her latest work, Dragons. Set to take place at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival for the first time in 25 years, this performance explores identity and mythology through innovative visuals, capturing the spirit and story of Asian dancers born in the year of the dragon.
K-Beauty Pop-Up: It’s Time for K-Culture 2025 (August 21 – 27, KCCNY)

This immersive experience will include installations, makeup demonstrations with top influencers, and B2B networking opportunities focused on sustainable beauty practices. The event aims to illustrate the cultural depth of Seoul's beauty scene and promote Korean content as a model for urban cultural diplomacy.
