Kuradashi Launches Frozen Meal Trial at Share Office for Health-Conscious Workers

Kuradashi Launches Trial of Frozen Meal Service

Kuradashi, the company behind the social good market initiative, is excited to announce the trial sale of its frozen meal service, Dr. Tsurukame Kitchen, starting June 25, 2026, for a period of two months. This initiative will take place at the share office called ZXY Kinshicho in Tokyo and aims to provide nutritious lunchtime options tailored for busy professionals.

The frozen meals are crafted under the supervision of registered dietitians and will be exclusively available to users of the ZXY workspace. Each meal not only promises nutritional balance but is provided alongside essential facilities, including a dedicated freezer and microwave. This setup is perfect for workers who might not have time for a lunch break or prefer quick, healthy dining solutions.

Background of the Initiative

Kuradashi operates under the mission of addressing social issues throughout the food supply chain with the mantra, "Doing good business for a fruitful future." Alongside working to reduce food waste through its Kuradashi market, the company has expanded its efforts into the realms of food and health by incorporating Cross Edge, a group company specializing in frozen meal delivery services, into its portfolio in August 2024.

On March 25, 2026, Kuradashi hosted its seventh Food Sustainability Research Meeting, which included an internal new business contest named Kuradashi Labo 2026. The standout idea, Tsurukame BCP, proposed by department head Sekiguchi of the brand management team, received top honors. This project aims to foster a health infrastructure for the workplace that addresses the aging workforce's dependency on food service and related health concerns. It combines professionally overseen frozen meals with a convenient distribution system.

The upcoming trial of Dr. Tsurukame Kitchen represents the first practical step toward realizing the objectives of the Tsurukame BCP. It looks to solve issues such as the lack of dining options in office-heavy areas and the nutritional imbalance faced by professionals during their lunch breaks.
