Baraka expressed the pride of Newark's diverse residents, many of whom hail from countries traditionally dominant in the World Cup narrative. Among the flagship events slated for this summer is Newark's hosting of the Goya Presents Flag Cities 2026, a fan festival that will take place on June 24, 2026. These ambassadors will assist guests at transportation hubs and during major events, providing helpful recommendations and facilitating connections to Newark's local attractions and businesses.

Training programs and business grants, such as the Ready, Set, Goal Business Development Grant, aim to pave the way for local businesses to thrive.
