Join the Exciting Dog Breed Photo Book Project for 2025!

Reiwa Publishing, operated by AKKA Communications located in Minato-ku, Tokyo, is thrilled to announce the launch of its latest initiative: the "Dog Breed Photo Book Project" for the year 2025. This innovative project invites dog owners to collaborate in creating a unique photo book dedicated to specific dog breeds, with an emphasis on showcasing the charm and personality of each canine. Each breed will feature 20 dogs and their owners, culminating in a stunning collection that highlights the unconditional love shared between pets and their guardians.

Objectives of the Project

The purpose of the "Everyone-Involved Publishing Project" is to redefine the traditional concept of publishing by actively engaging pet owners and enthusiasts in the creation process. This endeavor aims to capture the essence of not only dogs but also cats and exotic animals in future volumes, with different phases focusing on various species. The first phase specifically revolves around beloved dog breeds, serving as a platform for pet owners across Japan to share their furry companions’ stories and beauty.

Project Details

Interested participants can start by visiting the project page, where they can find comprehensive information about the photo collection process. For this first edition, we are accepting entries for the following popular breeds:

1. Shiba Inu (Mame Shiba)
2. Chihuahua
3. Pomeranian
4. Beagle
5. Husky

For every breed listed, we will accept up to 50 dogs and their owners, and production of the photo book will commence once we have filled the required number. Even mixed-breed dogs are welcome to apply as long as they exhibit characteristics of their breed!

Awards and Special Benefits

Participating owners will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite dogs through QR codes that link to individual profiles showcasing each pet's Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), online store, and more. Votes will be counted, and the top five dogs will be honored in a special award ceremony six months post-launch. Notably, the winning dog will receive its very own exclusive photo book that will be available for sale on Amazon!

With each photo book featuring a four-page layout, the left page will display a stunning photo of the dog while the right page will contain its profile, story, and relevant links—including the all-important QR code.

Participation Requirements

Participants must meet the following conditions:

- Have a Gmail account.
- Hold at least one social media or blog account.
- The dog must be owned by the participant.

It’s important to note that there are no fees to participate! In fact, any profits from book sales will be returned to the authors, who are the pet owners themselves. This initiative also emphasizes social contribution, with part of the book revenue being donated to organizations assisting rescue dogs.

Future Enhancements

Moving forward, Reiwa Publishing plans to expand its scope to include cats, small animals, birds, and exotic pets, allowing even more pet lovers to join in and celebrate their beloved companions.
