Obirin University's Career Support Project
Obirin University has recently been awarded a grant from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry under the "Exploration and School Reform Support Grant 2025" initiative. This funding aims to advance their unique career support project, "Discovery! For School," which was established as a collaboration between high schools and universities in 2019. The initiative has rapidly expanded, with over 30,000 high school students participating in various exploratory activities in the last academic year alone.
The grant will specifically assist in accelerating the high school outreach programs that are integral to this project. To celebrate this achievement, an educational observation training seminar will be held at the university's Shinjuku campus on August 8, 2025. This event is designed for those involved in education at high schools and universities, allowing them to gather insights about exploration and collaboration through a firsthand look at the "Discovery!" program. The first 100 participants can join for free, while a small fee of 1000 yen is required for the networking session.
