Strategic Leadership Changes at CLA
Today, CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (CLA) unveiled important updates to its national and regional leadership teams. This initiative underscores the firm's dedication to fostering innovation and growth as it navigates into 2025 and beyond.
New Executive Appointments
Among the most notable changes are the additions of James Watson and Paul Bailey to the executive leadership team. CEO Jen Leary has appointed Watson as the Chief Solutions Officer and Bailey as the Chief Growth Officer. Watson previously served as the Managing Principal of Solutions and as the Regional Managing Principal for the Northeast U.S. His leadership experience within CLA positions him well to spearhead innovative solutions tailored to client needs.
Meanwhile, Bailey, who transitioned into growth roles in 2024, has a strong background as the former Regional Managing Principal for the Western U.S. His insights into regional dynamics will be invaluable as CLA seeks to expand its reach and solidify its market position.
Elevating Internal Talent
In addition to the new executive appointments, CLA has elevated four key leaders to further advance its Future Forward strategy. Kirthi Mani has taken on the role of Chief People Officer after serving as the Managing Principal of CLA's Gateway One office in New York City. In this newly established position, he will oversee talent development, internal communications, and public relations—crucial areas for cultivating a robust organizational culture.
Josh Enger has been appointed as Chief Outsourcing Officer. He brings extensive experience to this role, having managed various areas including transportation and logistics. Enger's responsibilities will now encompass growing CLA's Client Accounting and Advisory Services, a vital component of the firm's consulting and outsourcing practice.
Chastity Wilson steps into the role of Chief Tax Officer. Wilson, who has previously contributed significantly to the firm's quality initiatives, will oversee all tax-related endeavors while promoting awareness of emerging tax initiatives at both local and federal levels.
Lastly, Kelli Roberts has been designated as the Regional Managing Principal for the Sunbelt region, which includes offices in states like Georgia, Florida, and Texas. Roberts' leadership will play a crucial role in driving CLA's strategy within this key area.
Vision for the Future
Cathy Clarke, Chief Culture Officer, emphasized that these leaders are well-prepared to tackle both challenges and opportunities in the evolving landscape while remaining aligned with CLA's core values and mission. "As a privately held firm focused on succession planning, CLA prioritizes nurturing talent to ensure a seamless transition into the next generation of leadership," stated Leary.
