Delska Launches an Advanced Data Center in Riga
In an exciting development for the Baltic region, Delska, a major player in the data center industry, has officially inaugurated the EU North Riga LV DC1. This state-of-the-art facility features a capacity of 10 MW, specifically designed to enhance capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC). The announcement was made on April 15, 2026, during a significant launch event attended by over 400 guests, including governmental officials, ambassadors, business leaders, and experts from the tech sector.
The launch ceremony spotlighted notable speakers, including Daiga Mierina, the Speaker of the Parliament, and Evika Silina, the Prime Minister of Latvia. Both highlighted the importance of this new data center in fortifying Latvia's digital infrastructure, emphasizing its contributions to economic resilience, national security, and advancements in technology. “This project is a clear testament to our capability to not only adapt to but also to shape global tech trends,” remarked Mierina.

Key Features of the Data Center
Delska’s innovative facility spans 7,100 square meters and is designed for future scalability, with the capacity to expand up to 30 MW. It boldly supports up to 250 kW per rack and meets rigorous Tier III standards, ensuring an impressive uptime of 99.982%. Sustainability is at the heart of its operations, targeting a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of less than 1.3. The facility’s energy comes primarily from renewable sources including wind, solar, and hydropower, while the backup systems utilize Neste MY renewable diesel.
