Harry Winston Opens a New Flagship Salon in Ginza

The House of Harry Winston, renowned as the "King of Diamonds" and celebrated as a "Rare Jeweler of the World," has officially launched its latest flagship salon in the heart of Ginza, Tokyo. This grand opening adds a remarkable chapter to the illustrious history of the brand in Japan, a country that has been pivotal since the establishment of its first salon in 1988.

Nestled at 1-7-10 Ginza, Chuo-ku, this new location spans an impressive 869 square meters, making it the largest Harry Winston salon in Japan. The salon is designed across three luxurious floors, showcasing a modern interpretation of the classic Harry Winston aesthetic through an architectural lens that highlights both elegance and innovation.

A Testament to Luxury and Design

Nayla Hayek, CEO of Harry Winston, expressed the special significance of Japan in the brand's journey, stating, "Japan holds a unique place in the history of Harry Winston. Since opening our first salon in 1988, it has played a crucial role in building the prestigious global legacy of our house." With this new location, the brand aims to strengthen its commitment to offering high-level service to both new and returning clients in this esteemed market.

The interior of the Ginza flagship is intricately designed, featuring finely polished white marble that adorns each floor, complemented by bespoke carpets that add warmth and texture. Glossy white structured wallpaper and more marble create a radiant ambiance, while a stunning chandelier and carefully selected decorative furnishings complete the luxurious environment.

Each floor of the salon is uniquely curated to offer guests a distinct experience, guiding them through an environment that reflects the house’s heritage and dedication to craftsmanship. The first floor is dedicated to bridal jewelry, showcasing exquisite pieces ideal for lovebirds. On the second floor, patrons can explore the signature collections, timepieces, and some of the house's most extraordinary jewelry creations, including Japan’s largest VIP salon designed for private customer experiences. The basement houses a specialized concierge service focused on repairs, ensuring top-notch aftercare for the clientele.

The exterior facade, clad in cream travertine marble, features window displays and three illuminated light boxes that exhibit the house's seasonal campaigns. Guests are welcomed at the entrance by Harry Winston's iconic black and gold double doors adorned with rosette motifs, flanked by elegant lantern posts—elements that pay homage to the historic Fifth Avenue flagship in New York City.

Since opening its first salon in Japan in 1988, Harry Winston has expanded to eight locations throughout the country, solidifying its presence in the luxury jewelry market. The new Ginza flagship not only serves as a testament to the brand's commitment to its heritage but also represents a bold vision for the future of luxury retail in Japan.

This opening signifies more than just a new storefront; it is a celebration of the enduring relationships Harry Winston has fostered in Tokyo, reinforcing its position as a leader in the luxury jewelry landscape and a purveyor of extraordinary craftsmanship.
