Paintory Teams Up with MUFG to Enhance Social Contribution Activities

In an innovative collaboration, Paintory, a custom apparel supply chain company based in Tsuyama City, Okayama Prefecture, has joined forces with MUFG (Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group) to enhance the framework for social contribution activities within the organization. This partnership, officially announced on December 16, 2025, includes the establishment of a dedicated e-commerce platform that allows individual branches and departments of MUFG to order their own custom-designed social contribution apparel.

Paintory provides comprehensive support for the production of 'social contribution activity apparel' while also managing distribution to various branches and offering customer support for employees. This endeavor marks a significant expansion of the services previously launched for MUFG, wherein they utilized Paintory's services for original apparel through a restricted employee-only e-commerce site. This second collaboration highlights Paintory's commitment to furthering personalized and socially responsible fashion solutions.

Founded in November 2017, Paintory aims to assist each individual in realizing their unique values and preferences through customizable fashion. With their platform, anyone can create and sell fashion brand-quality custom apparel without inventory risks, making it easier for businesses to hang on to their core missions while contributing positively to societal issues. Starting in April 2024, Paintory plans to roll out additional services to corporate entities, allowing for a seamless integration of brand planning and fulfillment processes alongside their already robust custom apparel offerings.

To foster sustainable fashion practices, Paintory's model discourages the mass production and consumption cycle, allowing companies to produce only what they need, when they need it. For MUFG, this means that employees can order apparel as needed for their volunteer activities without the burden of inventory or pre-order requirements, a step that aligns with MUFG's goal of efficiently addressing social issues. This shift was prompted by an increase in employee participation in social contributions, making it imperative for MUFG to develop a more efficient management framework.

Paintory has launched four key apparel items for these social contribution activities: windbreakers, happi coats, dry mesh vests, and dry T-shirts. The platform allows branches to choose from these offerings based on the nature of their social activities. Notably, Paintory has developed a new system that enables each branch to order apparel based on a point allocation system specific to their department, ensuring a tailored approach to each location's needs. Importantly, once an item is ordered, the information syncs instantly, facilitating a smooth process from production to individualized delivery.

The dedicated e-commerce platform alleviates any administrative burdens on MUFG's headquarters, giving each branch autonomy while still maintaining oversight. Furthermore, data collected from the orders—such as quantities and purposes—can be utilized for future apparel decisions. Additional features and enhancements are expected to be rolled out, enabling further integration of budget considerations into the ordering system, with plans for expansion across different companies within the MUFG group.

Through this partnership, Paintory reaffirms its commitment to providing high-value, convenient D2C custom apparel. The company continues to enhance its offerings while supporting organizations like MUFG in creating meaningful social impacts within their communities. By cultivating a robust e-commerce environment, Paintory ensures that social responsibility can be pursued effectively by modern businesses, paving the way for a future where fashion, individuality, and corporate social responsibility come together harmoniously.
