Lotte Partners with Fukuoka City to Enhance Citizens' Chewing Power

On October 22, 2025, a significant partnership was formed between Lotte Co., Ltd., Fukuoka City, and the Fukuoka Dental Association. This collaboration aims to promote the chewing power of citizens, ultimately contributing to their overall oral health and well-being. The signing ceremony took place at Fukuoka City Hall, attended by key figures such as Lotte's Takahiro Nakamura, Fukuoka City Mayor Soichiro Takashima, and Fukuoka Dental Association President Toru Yoshikane.

The main objectives of this agreement include:

- Raising awareness about the importance of chewing and spreading accurate knowledge regarding oral health.
- Educating the public on acquiring, maintaining, and enhancing oral function.
- Implementing chewing power improvement projects initiated by Fukuoka City.

Upcoming Initiatives in Fukuoka City

Distribution of Original Chewing Gum

Starting from November 1, unique ‘Kamu Katsu’ (Chewing Activity) original gum will be distributed at various locations throughout the city to encourage healthy chewing habits.

Chewing Power Assessments at Dental Clinics

Beginning November 25, residents can assess their chewing power using special gum that changes color according to their chewing ability. Participating dental clinics will provide this valuable service, with a list of locations to be released later.

Retail Promotion

From early December, stores across Fukuoka will showcase promotional material for 'Kamu Katsu FUKUOKA' in gum sections, highlighting products that support oral health.

In addition to these initiatives, various public lectures led by dental experts are planned, providing opportunities for community learning.

Kick-off Event: Kamu Katsu FUKUOKA

A celebratory kickoff event will take place in Tenjin on November 1, featuring engaging activities including:

- Talk shows on the importance of chewing.
- Distribution of original gum to participants.
- A chewing measurement booth to evaluate personal chewing capabilities.

The event will be hosted by well-known MC Maako Nakagami, along with appearances from local talent including the Dogenjers ©DGN6 and influencer Neo.
