Intersect Communications at CCCJ WEEK 2025
Intersect Communications, based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has successfully taken on the role of moderator at the CCCJ WEEK 2025 Inbound Subcommittee, organized by the Japan Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCJ). This event gathered key industry players to discuss pressing challenges in inbound tourism as Japan sets its sights on reaching a target of 60 million international visitors.
As reported by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), the country has seen record-breaking inbound tourism figures with 24.95 million visitors from January to July 2025. However, alongside this surge, issues such as overtourism have emerged in certain locales, creating a pressing need for solutions and preparations for the anticipated 60 million visitors.
The primary aim of the session was to collaboratively address hurdles that various sectors—transportation, retail, accommodation, and aviation—face in light of increasing demand. It was a platform for stakeholders to share insights, prioritize common challenges, and explore viable strategies for future growth. This report outlines the key discussions that transpired during the event, structured through two key presentations followed by a panel discussion.
