This exciting initiative invites cosplayers from all over Japan to showcase their talents and creativity, bringing the rich world of Yakuza to life during upcoming events hosted by the Yakuza Studio.

What You Need to Know

The audition is open to all residents of Japan who are 20 years or older, regardless of whether they are professional or amateur cosplayers. This is a fantastic opportunity for fans of the series to be part of something truly special and help celebrate two decades of one of gaming's most beloved franchises.

Audition Details

• - Application Deadline: July 6, 2025, at 23:59 JST
• - Eligibility: Must be 20 years or older and residing in Japan. Entry as a professional or amateur cosplayer is welcome.
• - How to Apply:

1. Fill in the application form with your details.
2. Submit two types of photographs:
- A casual photo of yourself taken within the last month (one headshot and one full-body shot, without any masks or sunglasses).
- A recent photograph (within the last year) of you in a cosplay outfit representing a character from the Yakuza series (one headshot and one full-body shot).

Please ensure the photos meet the required specifications to avoid disqualification.

Benefits of Participation

Those selected to participate will have the opportunity to:

• - Appear at events hosted by the Yakuza Studio.
• - Receive a stipend of 100,000 yen to aid in cosplay costume creation.

Selection Process

• - Candidates will be informed by email about their application status by July 11, 2025.
• - The second round of auditions, which includes in-person interviews, will take place on July 26, 2025, at SEGA's headquarters in Osaki. Participants must bring their Yakuza character cosplay for the interview process.

Important Notes

• - Travel and accommodation expenses for the second round of auditions will be the responsibility of each participant.
• - The auditions must only showcase costumes compatible with the Yakuza series; inappropriate or unrelated costumes will not be accepted.
• - Any photo with excessive editing will be excluded from the selection process.
