National Airlines Expands its Freighter Fleet with Fourth Boeing 777-200

In a significant move to bolster its cargo services, National Airlines has proudly announced the delivery of its fourth Boeing 777-200 Freighter, N798CA. This milestone was celebrated at Boeing's Everett production facility in Washington. The integration of this new aircraft not only signifies an expansion of the airline’s fleet but also reinforces its commitment to adapting to the growing demands of global cargo transport.

National Airlines now has a robust fleet that consists of four Boeing 777-200 Freighters, nine Boeing 747-400 freighters, and incorporates A330-300 and A330-200 passenger aircraft. The strategic addition of the Boeing 777-200 Freighter is expected to enhance the airline's capability to provide high-capacity and long-haul cargo solutions, catering to diverse customers across different regions of the world.

Christopher Alf, Chairman of National Airlines, stated, "The delivery of N798CA represents another important milestone in our growth and fleet strategy. With four Boeing 777 Freighters now part of our fleet, we have significantly enhanced our long-haul cargo capabilities and our ability to respond to the evolving needs of our customers." He expressed gratitude towards Boeing, GE, and all teams involved in ensuring the successful delivery of this aircraft, emphasizing it will open up more opportunities within the global supply chain network.

The Boeing 777-200 Freighter is engineered for lengthy cargo operations and stands out with its substantial payload capacity, operational efficiency, and extended range. It features a large main-deck cargo door, accommodating a diverse array of freight, which includes time-sensitive shipments ranging from industrial equipment and pharmaceuticals to humanitarian supplies and e-commerce goods. Importantly, the new addition is capable of transporting more than 100 tonnes of cargo or flying nearly 5,000 nautical miles nonstop, depending on the load.
