CHANGAN Starts a New Growth Phase in Europe at the 2026 Auto Show
CHANGAN's Bold Move in Europe
During the 2026 Mondial de l'Auto in Paris, CHANGAN Automobile revealed its exciting new strategy for growth in Europe. This initiative comes on the heels of the company launching the CHANGAN DEEPAL range in Europe last year. With the introduction of the new CHANGAN NEVO lineup, CHANGAN aims to expand its offerings and significantly enhance local operations in research, engineering, and customer service.
The CHANGAN NEVO lineup exemplifies three core values: refined design, shared comfort, and enjoyable technology. The refined design combines aesthetic sophistication with a warm, natural comfort, creating a balance between visual appeal and everyday functionality. The shared comfort principle ensures every passenger enjoys the journey through meticulously designed spaces, modular arrangements, and consistent comfort throughout the cabin. Additionally, the enjoyable technology aspect includes a smart cockpit, connected digital experiences, and real-time driving assistance, providing a smarter, safer, and more serene experience for users.
To date, the CHANGAN NEVO has already made an impact on over one million families worldwide, turning intelligent and comfortable mobility into a daily reality for a growing community of users.
The unveiling of the CHANGAN NEVO Q05 marks its debut in Europe during the show. The Q05 seamlessly merges a spacious interior, advanced driving assistance technologies, and practical solutions to adapt to daily urban and suburban lifestyles. Moving forward, the NEVO lineup is set to welcome new models, including the innovative CHANGAN NEVO Q06, further enriching the options available for families. The Q06 will feature an expressive design, exceptional comfort, smart technologies, and a tranquil driving experience, making premium family mobility accessible to a broader audience.
CHANGAN's expansion in Europe is part of a broader strategy that links the launch of new models with ongoing development of local design, engineering, and customer service capabilities. The company’s European design center was established in Turin, Italy, in 2001, followed by the development of local research and engineering capabilities through a research and development center in Birmingham, UK. For over two decades, CHANGAN has been reinforcing its presence in Europe across design, engineering, and customer service sectors.
Guided by its strategy of “In Europe, for Europe,” CHANGAN is crafting a locally tailored ecosystem, encompassing R&D, services, human resources, and future production opportunities. The company is also enhancing its service offerings with spare parts centers located in the Netherlands and the UK, along with technical support, customer service, and engineering training.
In Europe, the CHANGAN DEPAL models S05 and S07 are already available in 100% electric (BEV) versions, while the left-hand drive S05 PHEV has just been added to the lineup. The S07 PHEV is scheduled for release in major European markets later this year. The NEVO Q05 is expected to launch in Spain and Italy by the first quarter of 2027. CHANGAN’s portfolio in Europe also includes the DEEPAL and NEVO ranges, alongside AVATR.
Zhao Fei, the general manager of Changan Group and president of Changan Automobile, stated, “Europe has always been a reference point. We come here to learn from our partners and grow together. CHANGAN is here to stay. Just like the plane trees lining the Seine, we are firmly planting ourselves in Europe and growing alongside you. In collaboration with our partners, we will advance the global automotive industry and provide better products and services to our customers worldwide.”
The European launch of the CHANGAN NEVO in Paris further broadens CHANGAN Automobile’s product offerings in the region. Consistent with its strategy, CHANGAN will continue to expand its product range and strengthen local capabilities to offer a wider selection and reliable support to its European customers, while contributing to a more intelligent and sustainable future in mobility.
