Cultural Assets Group Officially Launches in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia's Largest Cultural Consortium

A Major Leap for Saudi Culture: Cultural Assets Group's Launch

In a historic moment for Saudi Arabia’s culture and creative sectors, the Cultural Assets Group has officially been established as the nation’s largest cultural consortium. This pivotal organization is not merely a collaboration; it represents a unification of vision among seven leading companies and over twenty innovative brands such as Backyard Symphony, Knowliom, and more. Operating from its headquarters in Riyadh with additional offices in key global cities like London, Paris, and AlUla, the group aims to advance the cultural and creative industries in line with the ambitious goals of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.

The formation of this group is a direct response to the strategic initiatives laid out in Vision 2030, which outlines bold objectives for the development of the culture and creative economy within the kingdom. This vision sets the stage for sustainable private sector investment and growth, and the Cultural Assets Group is positioned as a driving force for this transformation. Abdullah Khalid Al Zamil, the chairman of the group, expressed the significance of this development: "Our vision aligns with the ambitious targets of Vision 2030, positioning culture as a catalyst for innovation and sustainable economic development. We are committed to building a future rooted in authenticity and driven by excellence, aiming to create a lasting impact on the global cultural ecosystem."

With a team of over 250 dedicated professionals, comprised nearly equally of men and women, the Cultural Assets Group brings a wealth of expertise in various areas, including museum design and construction, destination development, cultural events, and community engagement. The group closely collaborates with national stakeholders such as the Ministry of Culture, the Royal Commission for AlUla, and other notable entities to execute projects of national importance effectively.

The launch of the Cultural Assets Group coincides with the exponential growth of Saudi Arabia’s culture and tourism sectors, which are projected to contribute around $47.9 billion to the GDP by 2030, underscoring the country's emerging role on the global cultural stage. Furthermore, the consortium is strategically positioned to enhance the kingdom's cultural visibility, nurture local talent, and promote sustainable industry growth in alignment with the goals of Vision 2030.

As Abdulaziz AlSulaim, the group’s CEO, stated, "Cultural Assets Group represents a unified, purpose-driven platform dedicated to advancing the cultural priorities of the kingdom. We are here to grow the sector, support ambitious ideas, and enhance the scale and sustainability of cultural enterprises. This is more than a business; it is a catalyst for change, deepening Saudi Arabia's cultural identity and fostering creative progress."

The Cultural Assets Group aims to deliver a compelling development model that highlights Saudi Arabia's cultural potential on the world stage while reinforcing the kingdom's commitment to cultural excellence and economic diversification as part of its broader Vision 2030 objectives. Through its comprehensive services, the group is designed to cultivate a vibrant and sustainable cultural narrative that resonates strongly with the community, enduring through the ages and reflecting the rich traditions and dynamic future of Saudi Arabia.
