EPR Fireworks Unveils Command Works for Streamlined Incident Management and Accountability

In today's fast-paced environment, effective incident command is crucial for fire departments that want to maintain control and accountability over their response teams. EPR Fireworks has introduced a groundbreaking solution named Command Works, designed specifically to enhance incident management and documentation processes. This innovative product, which officially launched on October 22, 2026, seeks to unify the communication and operational workflows within fire departments.

With Command Works, incident commanders can transition from traditional manual systems, such as whiteboards and paper reports, to a digital solution that connects real-time information directly to incident records. This shift is vital as it addresses the limitations of outdated methods, where crucial updates could be easily overlooked in the chaos of emergency scenes. "Incident commanders need to focus on their teams and the critical decisions in the moment, rather than being bogged down by retrospective documentation," said Neriyah Oren, Vice President of Product at EPR Fireworks.

Key Features of Command Works

Command Works merges three essential workflows that empower departments to respond more effectively:
1. Run the Scene: Command is directly accessible from the incident board with responding units already integrated through CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch). Users can select a call type to establish divisions and groups, allowing better management of resources. Critical actions such as running Personnel Accountability Reports (PAR) checks or declaring a mayday can be executed directly from the board without switching screens.
2. Capture the Record: The platform allows users to log key benchmarks like establishing command, water on fire, and primary search with just a tap—complete with time-stamped entries in a running activity log. Once the incident command wraps up, the system generates an incident report by automatically formatting timestamps and actions into the necessary documentation, including the ICS 214 Activity Log and the After-Action Report.
3. Bring in Mutual Aid: Collaboration with neighboring fire departments has never been easier. Command Works features a time-limited code that allows units from other agencies to access the board without needing a Fireworks account, facilitating better communication and support during multi-agency responses.

A Unified Platform for Fire Departments

EPR Fireworks has taken note of the evolving needs within fire services, where increasingly fewer firefighters are spread across many departments. The call for a singular platform that integrates various operational tools into one interface has intensified. By consolidating functionalities into Command Works, EPR Fireworks aims to lighten the complexity that comes with juggling multiple applications, each with separate logins and processes. “This is our most significant launch during a transformative year for Fireworks,” noted CEO Gilad Preger. “Our clients demand a comprehensive solution that integrates operations before, during, and after events, and Command Works is built precisely to provide that support.”

Upcoming Demonstration

For those interested in witnessing the capabilities and interface of Command Works in action, EPR Fireworks will host a live event titled Command the Scene on November 10, 2026, at 12:30 PM ET. Participants will gain insights into how this new tool can redefine incident command processes and improve operational efficiency within their departments.
