Hong Kong-based Wacaco Company Limited has made a remarkable stride in portable coffee equipment with the launch of its new patented coffee brewer, Prestina. How It Works

The Prestina brewer operates through a straightforward ritual. Users simply need to add 15 grams of medium-ground coffee to the cup, pour in 240 ml of water heated to around 90°C, stir gently, let it steep for a minute, and then press down with the cup until the brewing is complete. This process yields a rich cup of coffee with a full-bodied flavor and a cleaner finish than traditional French press coffee. Furthermore, the integrated stainless steel filter retains the coffee's natural oils while eliminating the need for disposable filters, capsules, or other consumables.

Convenience and Design

The complete six-piece set includes the brewer body, portafilter, cup, lid, spoon, and drip tray. When packed away, the coffee maker and cup merge into a compact unit measuring just 134 × 85 × 85 mm and weighing 254 grams — small enough to fit into a desk drawer, cabin luggage, weekend bag, or camping coffee kit.
