About COFFEE GALLERY and Kōhī Kairō

Founded in the serene surroundings of Kumamoto's castle town, Kōhī Kairō started as a quaint 10-tatami mat coffee stand in 2015. The brainchild of Ryūta Murai, it swiftly gained popularity among locals and visitors alike. In 2019, the brand transformed a 120-year-old traditional house into the current hub of Kōhī Kairō, offering a blend of history and modernity.

The original brand name, COFFEE GALLERY, was inspired by Murai's vision of creating a space that celebrates coffee's rich narratives. The new direct outlet opens its doors on the 7th floor of Yurakucho Marui, which is known for its curated collection of reuse brands. This “revival” of the original café name is aligned with Marui's theme of discovering treasures, encapsulated by the phrase “FIND【】— a place to encounter your unique 'treasure.'”
