Rokt Enhances Leadership Team to Boost E-commerce Innovation and Growth

Rokt Strengthens Leadership Team

Rokt, a premier player in the e-commerce technology sector, has recently made significant strides in enhancing its leadership team. The company, known for utilizing machine learning and artificial intelligence to tailor transactions for individual shoppers, has appointed Dhruv Patel as its new Chief Product Officer and brought back Pete Davies as Senior Vice President of Advertiser Partnerships. This strategic move aims to refine the company’s product and marketing capabilities further.

A New Era with Innovative Leadership

In announcing these changes, Rokt's CEO Bruce Buchanan expressed his excitement about bringing in fresh talent and expertise. Dhruv Patel, who co-founded Aftersell, which was acquired by Rokt, is set to drive Rokt’s product strategy. Patel's background as a pioneer in implementing AI solutions for retailers will be pivotal as Rokt continues its mission to provide real-time relevance during e-commerce transactions.

Patel’s approach focuses on how AI can unlock new revenue streams, particularly through upselling techniques that enhance the shopping experience for customers on platforms like Shopify. His experience is expected to accelerate innovation within Rokt, allowing brands to maximize their potential during crucial transaction moments.

In addition to Patel, returning figure Pete Davies will focus on expanding advertiser partnerships. With over 20 years of experience spanning several industries, Davies will lead efforts to fuel growth in new sectors such as telecommunications, automotive, and insurance. His prior history at Rokt from 2013 to 2015, where he achieved significant revenue growth, positions him well to help Rokt build on its existing successes.

Amplifying E-commerce Impact

The announcement follows Rokt’s merger with mParticle, a key player in customer data platforms that enables the company to further enhance its offerings in real-time e-commerce and advertising solutions. The merger stands as a testament to Rokt’s commitment to expanding its capabilities and maximizing the effectiveness of e-commerce transactions.

The growth trajectory of Rokt has been impressive, with revenues soaring by more than 40% year-over-year to reach $600 million in 2024. The introduction of ACE, Rokt’s generative AI tool designed to optimize advertisers' returns on ad spend, signifies the company's dedication to technological advancement in the e-commerce realm.

Buchanan emphasized the importance of these leadership transitions, stating, “Bringing Dhruv and Pete into these expanded roles will accelerate our investment in real-time relevance.” Their combined expertise is expected to elevate Rokt’s approach to harnessing the full value of each transaction moment, providing enhanced solutions for both retailers and consumers.

The Future of E-commerce at Rokt

With a mission to unlock meaningful relevance at the critical moment of sale, Rokt continues to solidify its position as a leader in the e-commerce landscape. Headquartered in New York City, Rokt operates globally, serving many of the world’s leading companies, including PayPal, Uber, and Macy’s.
