Aletta Rochat: A New Leader for Toastmasters International

Aletta Rochat, hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, has recently taken on the prestigious role of International President of Toastmasters International. This globally recognized organization is dedicated to enhancing communication skills and fostering leadership development among individuals. The announcement was made during the 2025 International Convention held in Philadelphia from August 20-23.

A Journey of Passion and Experience

Rochat is well-equipped for her new role, possessing over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications sector. She founded her own company, Voicing Your Potential, in 2010, where she specializes in coaching clients on executive presence and communication skills. Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Witwatersrand alongside a diploma in marketing management from the University of South Africa. Additionally, she has earned the esteemed title of certified world-class speaking coach.

Notably, her dedication and hard work have been recognized by various organizations. In April 2018, she was honored as Woman of the Month by Xtraordinary Women, highlighting her influence and contributions to the community.

Toastmasters and Leadership

As a member of Toastmasters since 2008, Rochat has been an integral part of the Cape Town Toastmasters Club. Her extensive involvement has led her to occupy several high-level leadership positions within the organization.
