Yokohama Ramen Yamato-ya Launches Free Rice Campaign Amid Rice Crisis

Yokohama Ramen Yamato-ya's Free Rice Campaign

In the face of the ongoing rice crisis during the Reiwa era, Yokohama Ramen Yamato-ya, operated by AZism, has announced a remarkable campaign that is set to bring joy to ramen lovers. Starting from July 22, 2025, until September 30, 2025, the “All-Day Free Rice” campaign will be held at the Shin-Matsuki Yamato-ya and Fuchu Yamato-ya locations.

The rich, concentrated tonkotsu soy sauce broth from Yamato-ya pairs perfectly with rice, making it an essential part of the complete Yamato-ya experience. Many customers who adore this style of ramen view rice as a necessary accompaniment, and it’s impossible to truly appreciate the essence of Yamato-ya without acknowledging the significant role that rice plays in the dining experience.

The current shortage of this staple food has created a challenging environment, and it is exactly in such trying times that Yamato-ya aims to provide an opportunity to indulge in its offerings without restraint. The all-day free rice option is made possible through the cooperation of suppliers, reflecting our strong desire to continue serving the best possible ramen-rice pairing to our customers.

The Importance of Rice at Yamato-ya

Yokohama Ramen Yamato-ya is known for its flavorful, thick broth that complements rice exquisitely. The restaurant promotes a unique way of enjoying its ramen with rice, urging diners to experience the bliss of wrapping steaming rice in nori soaked in the broth. The combination of the rich flavors in the seaweed and fluffy white rice creates a delightful harmony.

Enhance your meal by adding table toppings such as black pepper, chili paste, pickles, or grated garlic – all of which allow you to enjoy as much rice as you desire, showcasing the essential appeal of Yamato-ya’s signature broth. This is a golden opportunity for customers to experience the “Yamato-ya Style” and explore the infinite possibilities of ramen and rice.

About Yokohama Ramen Yamato-ya

Striving for the title of “Strongest in the House,” Yamato-ya specializes in a creamy tonkotsu soup created through a unique extraction method ensuring no unpleasant odors, alongside a robust soy sauce tare with a touch of sweetness, setting it apart.
