Looop Co., a company dedicated to pursuing new ways to integrate energy and daily life, will host a unique family-oriented puzzle event titled "Unlock the Light of Pika Pika Town! - The Vanished Professor and the Secrets of Electricity". This innovative event will take place from August 25 to 27, 2026, at the Ariake Garden Gallery in Tokyo, providing families with a fun and educational experience.
An Engaging Learning Experience
The event is set in the mysterious Pika Pika Town, where a stranger has stolen all the light, plunging the town into darkness. Participants will take on the roles of story heroes, working together as a family to uncover hidden clues and save "Dr. Sun-chan" and the magical "Pika Pika Flower" that delivers electricity to the town. While solving puzzles, families will also learn important safety tips about using electricity in everyday life and during emergencies.
As part of a broader disaster preparedness initiative leading up to Disaster Prevention Month starting on September 1, this event is not just an enjoyable outing but also an excellent topic for summer vacation research projects.
All participants will receive an original pamphlet detailing what to do during electrical fires and power outages, ensuring that they leave with valuable knowledge about safety measures.
The Vision Behind Looop
Founded in April 2011 after the Great East Japan Earthquake, Looop aims to create a free energy society. The company's efforts have centered around renewable energy businesses and electric power retailing. Since 2018, Looop has offered extracurricular classes focusing on renewable energy in Hokkaido, where approximately 240 elementary school students have participated so far. This experience laid the groundwork for developing the original disaster preparedness training program unveiled at this event.
In June, the Japanese government released new predictions regarding earthquake damage, which has heightened public interest in fire prevention measures. The event combines Looop’s insights from previous educational endeavors and aims to address the rising concern of electrical fire risks in a fun, engaging manner.

Background and Significance
The Importance of Preparing for Electrical Fires
With rising awareness regarding disaster safety, particularly in light of new earthquake forecasts, the event aims to educate attendees about preventing electrical fires, which constitute about 65% of earthquake-related fires. Understanding daily electrical safety is crucial in reducing these risks.
As a company dedicated to understanding electrical hazards, Looop aims to communicate the necessary safety measures in an approachable manner.
A Message from the Program Development Team
The challenge of discussing disaster preparedness in a family can be daunting. However, we hope to transform these conversations into an adventure where children can become engaged protagonists. After solving puzzles, discussions about safety can naturally emerge at home.
On the day of the event, Looop staff will be present to guide participants through the experience, looking forward to the excitement and curiosity of the families engaged in the story.
Looop invites families to join this unique event, creating cherished memories and potentially inspiring summer research endeavors. We look forward to welcoming you at the venue!
